Of course you can. Don’t look at products in terms of race. Look at it in terms of hair type and whether it proclaims to give your hair what it needs. I think you’re limiting yourself and doing your hair a disservice if you’re only shopping in the ethnic hair care isle. In fact, I stopped using products that were marketed towards blacks over a decade ago and this is because black hair products tend to have some of the worst ingredients that you can put in your hair, and it only makes your hair worse, not healthy. Don’t be afraid to try different brands and travel outside your comfort zone. You’ll be surprised that many products that aren’t in the ethnic hair aisle are also good for relaxed and natural hair. I’ve used Yes to Carrots, Nexxus, Neutrogena, Paul Mitchel, Wen, Carol’s Daughter, Dove, Pantene, Charles Worthington, V05, and many other brands that I can’t even remember.
