Can Biologic Drugs Cause Psoriasis? Saturday July 12, 2008One little-talked about complication of biologic drugs is that they in fact may trigger psoriasis in some people. For patients using biologic drugs for treatment of arthritis and other conditions, an outbreak of psoriasis may occur. Most patients who are affected by this paradox don’t need to stop their TNF-alpha blocking drugs, but may need to change it if their psoriasis doesn’t respond to the usual treatments.
