Can Beginner Piano Lessons Result in You Becoming a Professional Musician?
I love jazz music, especially progressive jazz, and I often think about taking beginner piano lessons as a first step in becoming a professional musician. But, the truth is that I have been a musician for forty-four years and never became a pro. Why is that? Well, my axe of choice is slide trombone, which I began playing at ten years of age in elementary school. I DID take private lessons from fifth grade right up to the end of high school, and even studied to become a professional musician in college. What went wrong, you might ask?
