Bass speakers are not the same as radio speakers or even guitar speakers, they are specially designed for bass. First they need to be able to handle a fair amount of power since they need to move a lot of air to produce the bass frequencies, secondly they have to be able to sustain that power over a long period of time. Radio speakers are not designed to handle a lot of power since they are usually very efficient in their design. Even stereo speakers which can produce some serious bass frequencies cannot handle a musical instrument played through them for any length of time before they will either distort very badly of you’ll fry the speaker or amp or both. That said you could probably play a bass through a radio speaker but not for long and not very loud before it starts to distort so do so at your own risk.
