Can bank cash check that is dated later than the day it is deposited legally?

Yes, the bank can cash it. In fact, they also cash it if you don’t sign it. Basically, the only legal item on the check is the amount you write it for. *EDIT* – Misty, I’ve had a couple checks go through the bank and clear with no signature.
