Can bad gas cause my liver to become inflamed?
How does your doctor know your liver is inflamed? Did he/she do any liver blood work where the enzymes were abnormal? No doctor would be able to tell your liver is inflamed just by looking at you and not doing any testing. At best it would be just a guess on their part. Your symptoms sound like a stomach problem, not a liver problem. I had liver failure and a transplant plus have done tons of research over time on the liver. I have never heard of gas causing a liver to be inflamed. It sounds like you just have excessive gas in your stomach. You burp and it feels better. That has probably happened to everyone on the planet at some time. Try taking some antacid and it might help you. Prilosec might also help you a lot, but you must take it regularly in order for it to work right. I don’t believe an inflamed liver would do this to you, and I don’t even believe you have an inflamed liver unless testing was done on you to prove it.
