Can babies relate to music at such a young age?
Yes! Just as language skills are developed early in life, so is musical talent. Regardless of the level of music aptitude with which children are born, they must have formal and informal experiences in music to maintain that level of potential. Additionally, music plays a valuable part in children’s development – research shows that early exposure to singing, listening to and playing music can enhance a whole range of educational skills such as language and numerical skills, fine motor skills and an awareness of space and one another.
