Yes*: The pulse arc welding stylus requires an electrical contact to the work piece. Tack welding attachments can be used for this purpose. *Please note that tack welding attachments will also transfer more power to the arc when used for Pulse Arc Mode. This means that you should use lower power settings than you would need with pulse arc attachments.
