Can Aspirin cause mirco bleeding in the brain of a healthy 21 year old?
No, assuming you are taking it at the correct dose it will not cause spontaneous bleeding, at least into the brain (GI ulcers are another story). It could be associated with micro-bleeds if you have an underlying vascular disorder resulting in fragile or defective blood vessels, as it inhibits platelets from activating, and hence slows the formation of a blood clot, it could very well worsen an underlying problem that hadn’t been apparent or symptomatic before. Thing being their is no good way to know what happened for sure unless you start biopsying the patients brain, and that is usually frowned upon.
Possibly, for certain aspirin thins the blood, so that the blood can seep out of the vessels. With my dog, he had a tumour in nose, so nasal cancer I guess, and he was extremely uncomfortable and weak. The only medicine available to us that wouldn’t cause another problem was aspirin, that was the final straw for him and blood became thin enough to pour out of the flesh of the tumour. Then he was sent on his way D:. You would have to be in an extremely poor state already, and I presume not to go overload on drinking water if you’re going to take aspirins and to stick to the prescription. I wouldn’t rule out other sorts of internal bleeding too, I’m a chemist rather than a biologist, so i can’t talk about cell fluids, but rather anecdotal FML stories.
