Can Armstrong pump low temperature fluids?

Weve supplied pumps for many low temperature Brine (CaCl2) and refrigerant applications, down to -50F (-45C). For the casing we recommend Ductile Iron. Standard Bronze impeller is fine. EPDM is rated to -50F so this is the seal O-ring material of choice. Since there is the possibility of crystallization on the atmospheric side of the seal faces, hard seal faces (Silicon carbide or Tungsten Carbide) are recommended. For long-coupled pumps such as our models 4030, 4600 and 4300, bearings are ok since they are in the ambient temperatures, cooled through the shaft and adapter/bearing frame only. Close-coupled pumps are NOT recommended for these applications.
