Can Armed Robbers Trick-Or-Treat?
While Halloween was still over a month away, a couple of crooks in Florida were trick or treating anyway, with an emphasis on the tricks. Police in Broward County, Fla. say the terror started on September 4 around 11 p.m. Two men, one wearing spooky Halloween mask, rushed into a gas station and stormed the counter, terrifying the clerk on duty. Armed with guns and their masks, the robbers made off with the money from the register. No one was injured, but the nightmare wasn’t over. Police believe the crooks are responsible for several other armed robberies in the area over the course of September. And like the robbery on September 4, one of the robbers seems to enjoy wearing the ghoul mask worn by the villain in the popular horror movie “Scream”. The crooks are very aggressive and have a flare for the theatrical, and police are concerned it’s only a matter of time before they kill someone during a robbery.
