Yes. In order for AppMetrics to function correctly with SQL Server 2005 Express, the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Backward Compatibility Components package needs to be installed prior to the installation of AppMetrics. (Note: Please ensure that TCP/IP is enabled on the SQL instance you will be using for AppMetrics, as TCP/IP is disabled by default and needs to be enabled in order for AppMetrics to connect.) Also, AppMetrics runs with both a named and default instance. Usually on a named instance, TCP/IP is enabled by default, but it is still probably a good idea to check the named instance to verify that TCP/IP is enabled.
