You really do need to build a support network – whether at a local lgbt center or online – to have people to talk to and connect with who understand what you’re experiencing. Even starting here is a good first step, as Y!A has a sizable and helpful trans community. You’ll feel a bit better and less lonely and isolated when you can find other transpeople to connect with. Give it a shot. Remember, they’ve all been where you’re standing right now. There’s nothing to be afraid of.
