Simple answer yes, however there are lots of conditions and exceptions. At the big bang, space-time travelled faster than the speed of light when it was first expanding as far as I know… Also, whilst experiments have shown that things can travel faster than the speed of light, unless any new experiments have been carried out I think its impossible for information to be transmitted faster than the speed of light without it being lost. The bending of space-time (like worm holes) although technically not strictly moving faster than the speed of light, could potentially allow us to send information from one location to another faster than light travelling in a conventional way. As for the 11th dimension thing in the string theory, I doubt anything has been truley proven or shown since the theory itself isn’t concrete, and to be honest I’m totally sure how it works…
