If you have no reptile experience I STRONGLY suggest you keep several other lizards before you keep iguanas. You should at least have kept entry-level species like bearded dragons and blue tongued skinks. Iguanas are large, often aggressive and very difficult to care for. They can reach six feet from nose to tail, although 4-5 feet is probably more likely depending on what sex you have, as females are significantly smaller. There is nothing to ensure that your iguana doesn’t hate you, unfortunately, some are just always aggressive and you’re not going to know until it grows up. Even the most docile iguana is usually hell in the breeding season. I do not, nor have I ever had, an iguana but my friend has one. She has huge purple scars on her arms from her iguana scratches, and her iguana is a small rescued one which never reached full size due to bad treatment, and is normally docile. Here is some care info on green iguanas: http://
