Can anyone think of examples of stoicism in modern music?

im not sure what youre considering “modern music”, but there are examples of stoicism in all genres of modern music, including but not limited to everybody from woody guthrie to tom waits, the stones, rage against the machine, and the red hot chili peppers.. but the one artist that springs to mind as the most prolific of lyrical stoicism would definately be hank williams, sr.. he seemed to constantly be facing some form of adversity and perservering through it all..
