If you are getting the new dog as a puppy you should be safe with most breeds as it will grow up with your yorkie. It’s said that you should be more careful with sighthounds and bull terriers as they may see smaller animals as prey but my friend has two greyhounds and three cats and they all live together quite happily. Think more about your lifestyle and what would fit in best some breeds can go for hours whereas others would be happy with one walk a day.
