Can anyone tell me where the starter relay switch is located in a 97 Mercury sable?
The starter relay switch is usually located under the hood near the wheelwells. If not there, it should be on the firewall (rare). Be aware that there are usually a number of relays on/near the wheelwells (headlamp, wiper, etc.) The starter relay usually has a fairly thick (10-12ga) wire, usually red, which leads to the starter solinoid. If you can’t find it, you can often trace back from the starter solinoid’s main (big) power wire from the relay to find the relay.
