Can anyone tell me what the after affects of a mini stroke?
A mini stroke covers quite a range of disorders. A true mini stroke is either a blood clot that causes minor damage to the brain or a minor haemorrhage in the brain. A TIA (transient isochemic attack) is also called a mini stroke but its effects rarely cause long-term damage. The thing about a stroke of any type is that its affects depend on where in the brain it has occurred. My father was blinded by a series of mini strokes before he eventually had a more serious stroke and died about six months later. There are no set side effects, your question can only be answered with specific regard to the sufferer. That person or his/her next of kin should ask his/her doctor.
