Can anyone tell me the best glue to use with glass with regard to strength, life and appearance?
When it comes to glueing glass there are a few products on the market depending on what glass you have, what and were you are glueing it too, what finish you require and were the finished product will be situated. If you are mosaicing we highly recommend “WELDBOND”. This adhesive is used by NASA on the Space Shuttles so you can imagine it can take any temperature or weather conditions. It does not dry instantly so you have time to play around with your glass pieces. It even goes harder when mixed with grouts and cements. But the best aspect is that it dries clear. You can glue glass to glass and it will adhere. It does not seperate like many adhesives – meaning your mosaic pieces drop off you mosaic masterpiece over a period of time. Superglue can also be used as it dries clear. But you have to be fast as it dries instantly and there is no room for error and watch out you don’t glue your fingures together.
