I was looking into this breed. Can someone please give me more info on the breed. And, a breeder and general cost. Thanks! The Sphynx is a naturally hairless breed that originated in Canada. The breed is a natural mutation, basically meaning that they popped ip by themselves as the result of a changed or mutated gene. They are very sweet and come in all colors/patterns that are the result of a skin pigmentation rather than hair. Sphynxes are often covered in a light peach fuzz, but the breed standard calls for as little hair as possible. Because they do not have hair, Sphynx cats are very greasy, as they cannot soak up the oils that their body/skin produces. They require weekly sponge baths with an anti-seborrheic shampoo that you can get from a veterinarian. If you do not keep up on the spongebaths, the cats can leave oil spots on your furniture. Breeders are most common up in Canada, as that is where the breed originated. The Price really varies depending on the breeder.
