Can anyone tell me how to Hypnotise myself?
Self hypnosis is really easy, and I know of 2 ways to do it. The first is to make a tape which you can play back so its just like listening to a hypnotherapist. The second method doesn’t require a tape, you can put on some quiet wave sounds or similar to block out background noise. Basically all you have to do is lie down in a comfy position preferably on your back, close your eyes, then start breathing slowly and deeply. If your mind starts to wander then just focus on your breathing. Some people manage to reach a very relaxed state doing this, others prefer to have the tape playing, with the voice saying things like, “as you breath out, you go deeper and deeper…” or “your body feels wonderfully relaxed…” Once you have reached a deep state of relaxation you can then choose what to do… you might want to tell yourself “I am confident and happy, and I can achieve my goal of … etc”, or, you picture yourself on a screen, behaving in a way that you want to achieve.
