the name monsoon originated from an arabic word mawsim which means season. india indeed has a typical tropical monsoon type of climate actually this climatic belt lies between 10 to 25 degress north and south of equator but in case of india and pakistan its up to 30 degrees. A monsoon is a seasonal prevailing wind which lasts for several months.
