Can anyone taste the difference between organic and regular produce?

The difference doesn’t reside with the taste, but with the nutritional content. Organic produce has 2x the vitamins and minerals of its’ GMO counterpart. Even if you can’t see it, it’s still there.

I cannot taste the difference between cooked organic produce and regular. I can say that I bought some organic potatoes and after a short while, they got the “eyes” on them. it had been so many years since that happened that I forgot it was supposed to happen. It makes me feel much better knowing that my produce hasn’t been sprayed with anything to make it last indefinitely, but frankly, I cannot taste the difference. Like the previous poster said, there is a huge difference in taste with meat though.

Bear in mind that most of us have lost much of our finer tasting ability thanks to diets so high in sugar, salt and often laced with ‘so-called flavour-enhancing chemicals (like MSG) . Also if you smoke, and/or drink alcohol, and or eat highly spiced food on a regular basis your taste buds may well be less ‘sensitive’ than they might be… Also. no matter if truly organically farmed, or otherwise the ‘flavour’ of vegetables and fruits is more particularly determined by whether or not they have been allowed to ripen properly and naturally. Most supermarket vegetables and fruits are picked ‘early’ and usually well before ripe, they are then often stored for some time, maybe in modified-gas atmospheres to avoid deterioration. But without ‘sunshine’ — the key ‘ingredient’ to good ripe, natural flavour, then you won’t have food that tastes as it should. Much of the supermarket foods are early-picked, the force-ripened in special warehousing. They just don’t see the sun enough to develop go

Hi Frank, Absolutely can you not, taste the difference in produce. My specialty is with produce and it is virtually impossible, research and you will find this is true, nor is there a significant nutritional difference…HOWEVER you should always wash your produce with caution to remove any residue from pesticides or fertilizer’s they are the most hazardous. The biggest difference in produce would be between heirloom and genetically altered produce and how it was harvested in natural sun, or hydroponics’s, yes then there is a difference in taste and smell. So please shop for the most fresh-es and great summer bargains that you can find…Now organic Meats are a whole different ballgame, Frank….
