Can anyone suggest the application of the mobile computing using GSM in remote sensing field?
Field data acquisition and controls. I’ve been involved in projects that used GSM for monitor and control functions using DTMF, SMS, and IP scenarios. For example, one product that I custom designed for a client years ago, involved voltage, temperature, and ping watchdog triggers from remote locations to a central dispatch. The system had escalation points and automation control response signal capabilities to allow the system to control processes of cycling power on critical components to maintain the required mission critical connectivity.
