Can anyone suggest creative wedding invitation wordings from brides parents side?
If you download it off an internet answers site, it isn’t creative — it’s copied from a world-wide suggestion. If you follow formal third-person wording, it isn’t creative, it’s either formal (assuming you actually adhere to the traditional wording); or it’s informally stilted and artificial. If you want truly “creative”, think how you yourself would word it (assuming you are the bride’s parent — otherwise ask the actual parent). Make sure you mention WHO is the host, WHOM they are inviting, to WHAT, WHERE, and WHEN (and HOW they should reply, if necessary). If it were I, I would say “Dear WHOM — after after 64 years of spinsterhood lightning finally struck: I’m getting married to Mr John WHAT. Come see an event you never expected to see! — Saturday the 20th of WHEN, 3 o’clock, at the WHERE registry office with cocktails afterward at the WHERE club. — Love and aftershocks, Aspasia WHO.” Please note that would be creative for ***me*** — and a total bore if someone else just copied
