Mango Tree is London’s most popular Thai restaurant, but I think it’s very noisy and the food isn’t actually that great. It’s also quite expensive. I would recommend Patara on Greek Street (Soho). It’s a lot better than the chains like Thai Square etc, and the food is really excellent. Lots of lovely fish and seafood dishes too. The atmosphere is very relaxed and not fussy, but the place looks lovely with lots of candles and a wooden temple structure in the middle of the room. I went with my mum and she loved it.
