Can anyone suggest an alternative to Centre Parcs.?
I was going to suggest Oasis in the Lake District, but it seems that they are now part of centre parcs (whinfell forest). Have you thought of visiting centre parcs abroad for a change? Request a brochure from http://www.centerparcs.com They have resorts in Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France – the same idea as in the UK, but often with better facilities (larges lakes and wider range of water activities). I remember great holidays in centre parcs Port Zeland resort in the Netherlands. It is on the coast, so water activities are great, and because it is so flat you can take cycle trips to visit the surrounding area (cheese factory, dolphinarium, countryside…) you would be surprised how much distance you can cover on a bike on those great flat wide paths.
