Mike Skinner and the No. 5 team have scored five poles in seven races so far this season, leaving them just six shy of the series record set by Mike Skinner during his 1995 championship season. Skinner has gone on to capture six Top 5 finishes, and he has not finished outside the Top 10 yet. Skinner and crew are easily on track to break the series record for poles, and the rest of the field is going to have to work on beating them if they wish to have a chance the rest of the season.
