Can anyone scuba dive?

Yes, provided you’re physically fit and meet the minimum age requirements which vary between 10 and 12 depending on the cruise line. Scuba Diving is one of those activities considered to be a shore excursion so there is an additional charge. You don’t have to obtain a scuba certification if you only want to dive while on the cruise, but if you plan to continue after the cruise you’ll need to have a certification from one of the recognized dive associations like PADI or NAUI. At THE CRUISE EXPERTS AGENCY we recommend you get your scuba certification before you come on the cruise, that way you can spend more time in the water. Some cruise ships do offer certification programs onboard, but keep in mind you’ll invest about 30 hours of your time in the program. Our CRUISE EXPERTS will be happy to give you all the details.
