If you are looking to record a band, then you need something that can multi-track record. I suggest either going with a Mixer plus a Firewire Card, or a Firebox. With one of these options you can have 12-16 inputs. Which means you can record each instrument from your band on a separate track, then you can edit / mix / master each one independently.
