Can anyone recommend somewhere for a good family holiday abroad?
You didn’t mention where you’re from, what your budget is, how old your kids are, and what your family members are specifically looking for. But since you posted this under “Europe”… If you want a standard beach holiday, try the southern coasts of Spain, France, Monaco, or Greece. Outdoor holidays are also another option; camping is economical and there are many activities to keep your children entertained… I’m thinking the Schwartzwald in Germany or somewhere in Switzerland. Andorra during times of festivities is also an interesting place to go, and there’s virtually no tax there. But I wouldn’t have a clue about children facilities. If you want to do an exotic city holiday, try Turkey… there’s so much to see there but the costs of stuff there are slightly lower than most of Europe. Another nice place to see that’s not too dear is Prague.
