Can anyone recommend Kumon Maths and English programmes, do they make a big difference?
It is good if it is the type of thing that you are not going to give up on. To start off, please realize that your child may start at a very low level. This is completely normal and is essential to your child’s future in Kumon. You want your child to master the basic concepts of math and/or before they move on. Doing the lower levels and maybe some repetition will guide your child along when he or she gets to the levels where he or she will need those. An example would be a child using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division for fractions. The test that your child is given will determine what level your child will start at. Your child will be completing worksheets daily and you as a parent need to make sure that the worksheets are graded and corrected. If you are not into helping then you can not expect your child to actually want to do the work. Another thing to mention is that it is an independent learning program.
