Goldcar are good but they make you pay upfront for a tank of petrol with no credit if you don’t use it all. They also have real fully inclusive rates with no excess (which is why they try to claw a bit of profit back with the petrol thing) Good if you are planning on doing a lot of miles. Otherwise have a look at Argus rentals – they use car trawler and usually have competitve rates for the major rental firms like Hertz. By doing this you don’t have to pay upfront for the petrol but you do have an insurance excess of about 700 euros. You can buy an excess waiver policy separately from carhireexcess.
