Can anyone recommend bridal dress stores?
David’s Bridal have the $99 sales twice a year, I think. Additionally some of the DB stores have an “as is” selection which is heavily discounted, but more than $99. At the store where I work, most of the dresses sold fall into the $400 – $600 range. The average would vary by the income in each geographic area though. At DB, all the dresses are polyester. They are a good quality polyester, Not like the cheap fabric they sell at Joann’s fabrics. Almost all the dresses are lined and most are underlined and have lots of boning, which helps them hold their shape. This is really important if you desire a strapless dress. Some companies cut corners and leave the boning out, and sell the dresses really cheap. The dresses made that way don’t stay up, though. In an independent store, you will likely receive more personal attention. Also, an independent store will have designers that DB doesn’t have.
