Can anyone recommend any arabic traditional music?
Am a big fan of Gabriel’s Passion soundtrack. Don’t know how traditional you are looking for. There is a fifteen volume collection entitled “Music of Islam”. The volumes cover different regions and styles, such as Music of Cairo, The Arabian Peninsula, Tunisia, et al. Note this would more accurately be considered Persian, rather than Arabic (but for this musically ignorant American, the difference is small). “Nine Heavens” is a two disc set.
