Can anyone recommend a technology escrow service who will hold software code in escrow?
This was selected as Best Answer I’ve had only positive experiences with Iron Mountain with all of my software clients. The process is very simple — they send you a form three-way agreement that is standard (so no negotiations, and frankly, none needed). The parties execute it, the code is deposited, the responsible party pays, and you are done. Particularly as an attorney, the process is simple and because so many major (and minor) software companies use them nationwide, you don’t have to waste time arguing over who will be providing the service. Good luck and let me know if you have further questions.
