Someone at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens might be able to tell you who moved the enormous dogwood from Old Madison Pike to the HBG a few years ago. Don’t take my word for it because I really don’t know for sure, and other than “beautiful”, I don’t know anything about the trees in question, but I think Ken is correct in his assessment. (The fact that Ken & I agree on something is another reason for skepticism! The expense is likely to far outweigh the value of the trees unless they are indeed of exceptional value or fairly small (in which case you might do better buying balled and bagged trees from a nursery). Not that it will help you, but in Nashville I think the electric company is not allowed to take trees on private property without permission. They may not even be allowed to trim without the owner’s permission (or perhaps it is in cases where the owner specifically tells them not to trim) (although they do a good job of getting the impression across that they can and will trim
