Oh are you going to see the Beautiful South? I’m going next night to see the Pogues. It depends what sort of thing you like – Waxy O’Connor’s is literally just over the road and it’s nice and cosy in there – they do nice food too. Lloyds in the Printworks is nice and cheap – Norwegian Blue’s pretty funky but not to my taste – I like something a bit more traditional. If you want a traditional Manchester pub, try the Pig and the Porcupine – it’s a bit of a walk but well worth it – if you get a taxi down ask the driver to take you there. Al the pubs apart form the Pig and Porcupine are in the Printworks – -you can’t miss it – -it’s litereally just over the road – -you didn’t say how you were gettin there, but if you’re going by train, it’s left out of the station, and if you’re getting a taxi, the driver will direct you. Pig’s over the road from AMC cinema on Deansgate – just ask a passerby.
