Can anyone recommend a good free website that I can print off school work for grade 1?
Google the topic ‘homeschool’ and you will find many websites which you can print off various things for each grade level/subject. Just keep in mind that she IS a child and needs down time-so do not make it “school at home”. Working during the summer is definitely a good idea, though, as the beginning of each school year is spent going over information that was not retained over the summer. I also recommend Brain Quest. It is a card game, available at your local book or educational supply store. It covers various subjects, and comes in versions for Toddlers up (I know atleast 7th grade). They also have workbooks-we have not used those, yet, but I am sure they are great if they are anything like the card game. Of course, while you are at the book store, you can look at other workbooks, too-they have Summer Bridge books which are meant for children going from K-1, 1-2, etc. Consider ordering Story Stretchers from Amazon.
