Can anyone recommend a good book on the Troubles in Ireland?

i am very interested in the answer to this question myself. I know of one book that is set in the times of the Troubles, but it doesn’t go into detail so I’m not sure if it’s what you are looking for. Bog Child by Siobhan Dowd recently won the Carnegie award. I personally did not think it was the best on the Carnegie shortlist, and the shortlist is worth a read. Bog Child is set in the times of the trouble, but with two interwoven stories that seem to me to be half told. It does give an impression of the difficulties and problems, but doesnt go into detail we hear about the guards, the soldiers, prisoners starving themselves, but not in much detail.

What is your question?
