Yes I can. I visit Berlin very frequently so know a lot of Hotels there. It does however depend what you mean by Berlin City Centre..! The actual geographic centre is the newest area – where all of the new Government offices and the new cinemas, theatres etc are around the Potsdamer Platz. As this is all so very new – some people regard it is maybe a little soulless. obviously there are two futher Berlin ‘Centres’ – the old centre of West-Berlin, and the old centre of East-Berlin – which have both retained a lot of the character that they has when the city was divided. I know the old West-Berlin the best: If ou are looking for cheap but good – try MotelOne at Moritzplatz – it is one of those French style Motel/Hotel places. You can even book in at 3am, via a computerised check-in. It is incredibly good value for money and cheap, yet comfortable and modern – and everything is ensuite. I have stayed there a few times.
