Can anyone provide good info on how to care for my turtle?
Hey. i made a care sheet for you, hope this helps and here it is: The Ridgeback Turtle Mostly Active During: Night Substrate and Water Needs: I used pea gravel bigger than his mouth for the substrate and the water in his tank comes about an inch above the top of his shell as these turtles prefer shallow water to deep water Lighting and UVB: I take mine outside in a kiddie pool well protected from predators where he stays in an outdoor setup for the majority of the day Temperatures and Humidity: Water 78 degrees to 80 degrees in water and 80 for the basking spot Heating and Equipment: I use a simple hardware lamp from wal-mart for five dollars and it will heat the basking spot and water depending on size of tank Caging Provided: I provide him with a ten gallon as he is only about an inch and a half long i have a 55 gallon ready for when he gets bigger or till christmas with live plant as well as some feeder guppies and his filter which he seems to enjoy more than the tank itself Diet: O
