You will have to come up with the title, but it is an extremely, informative, important for the public and an interesting topic for an informative speech. I recently watched an updated version on this on I believe “60 Minutes” a month or so ago, but could not find it for you. I have always wondered when I see a tire completely stripped away- mostly in one piece on the highway. Now I know why, and I believe it is unexcusable that the tire industry will not set a 6-year expiration date on tires. The below was written a little over 3 years ago. The “DOT” numbers are longer now that we have entered The New Millennium. To find the “DOT” numbers you have to look on the side of the tire that would face underneath the vehicle. In Britain they have the manditory 6-year expiration date. The same tire people that voted for this in Britain are the same people who decline to vote and make it manditory here in the United States!
