Can anyone please give me advice on Typing and database tests?.?
The database one will involve you being asked to undertake various tasks in the database to prove that you know how to use it. If you know which database it is – presumably Access – I would have a look online now to see if there are any practise tests on the internet that you can take this afternoon. From my experience of taking tests at agencies, they consider anything above 70% to be a decent score, and over 80% is outstanding. The test will have a time limit so you can’t spend hours agonising over each answer, but it’s usually plenty of time to get the whole test done. For the typing test, they will give you an essay to copy out and you will have five minutes to copy as much of it as you can. It will also test for accuracy as well as speed. You can’t really prepare for this much, because typing speed is something that can be improved over a long period of time but you won’t be able to anything tomorrow.
