Can anyone outline the main points in humanistic counselling?
The clients most likely to be helped by a humanistic counsellor, are those who acknowledge their issues and want to get to the roots of them. They are not looking for immediate answers or resolutions, but are willing to deal with their emotions and fully experience them. The counsellor can assist a client who lacks direction and seeks meaning in their lives. The counsellor can assist the client to unlock their own natural potential. However, the therapist does not take charge of the clients life.
