Can anyone offer best-practice advice on starting up a Kanban or Two-Bin inventory management system?
Lee Ann, The best way to implement a kanban or two bin system requires a detailed analysis of your inventory requirements, your vendor compliance, reliability, transportation, lead time etc. When the reports of all the links in the supply chain from point A to Z is pulled together, that gives you the idea of where to set the limits and the trigger. If done wrong, this can lead to down time and delays affecting the production schudle-MPS and the quality of customer service. Good Luck with the implementation. If you need help, My company does projects in this field and has handled setting up of a Kanban system for a companies here in United States. We can do the same for you. Please feel free to contact us at 812-457-9792 and ask for me.
