In Bartholomew County, only a registered contractor may install a septic system. If a homeowner wishes to install his/her own system, he/she must pass the installer registration examination. A working knowledge of state and local codes must be demonstrated in order to pass the exam. The exam may be taken in our office any business day between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
