Can anyone help with with the wool/yarn ive picked for my crocheted blankets?
You’re probably doing nothing wrong. There may be an explanation as simple as using two different brands of yarn, or it may be much more complex than that. Here’s some information to help you with the insights: DK (double-knit) weight yarn is sometimes called “light worsted” weight because it knits between worsted and sport weight yarn. It’s rated a size 4 on the standard yarn sizing scale along with worsted–if you’re in the U.S. If you’re in the UK, I don’t know that the same sizing applies. Also, “baby wool” is actually fiber from a sheep that’s spun for baby garments but “baby alpaca” is fiber from young alpacas that has a wide variety of applications. Thus, I’m guessing at what might help you, depending on where you’re located and what yarn you actually bought both times. It would really help us to
