Can Anyone Help With Trig Homework?
One of the men is standing some distance from the building. He looks up and sees the top of the building. He has to tilt his head 30 degrees to do so. Draw a right triangle with the vertical part (the building) on the left. Out to the right, draw a long triangle with a 30° angle down on the ground. The other man is standing closer to the building. He too looks up at the building, but he has to tilt his head up 60 degrees to see the top of it. Draw a shorter right triangle inside the first one, with a 60° angle on the ground. The vertical line for the building is the same line for both. For the purpose of the problem, ignore the fact that the men’s eyes are some distance above the ground, and just assume they’re measuring those angles right from the ground. This starts out as two problems. You know the opposite side of the angle in each case (80 m). You also know the angles. You don’t know the hypotenuse (the distance through the air) but that doesn’t matter anyway. Which trig function
